Meet the team: Arno🚀

Meet Arno

Hi, I’m Arno. I studied Accountancy & Tax and Finance & Securities. After my studies, I worked in tax consulting and financial reporting for about three years. During this time, I became increasingly involved with working on larger datasets, which sparked my passion for data and analytics. Since then, I have been working as a functional and technical consultant in the data domain, learning both established and emerging technologies. This has allowed me to sharpen my technical skills while staying connected to my financial background in reporting. Solving complex business questions by translating them into technical solutions and functional reports has been my main motivator.

We asked Arno some thoughtful questions.

Arno, how did you discover your passion for data?
Working as a tax and financial reporting consultant, I began to see the limitations of what an Excel workbook could achieve. This led me to explore new tools, particularly Power BI, and ultimately helped me discover my passion for data.

Why did you specifically choose Plainsight?

Plainsight truly is a people-focused company, and that became clear to me from my very first meeting with David and Bo. Working in a diverse team with a wide range of backgrounds creates a compelling and inspiring environment. This combination is what ultimately led me to choose Plainsight.

What was your first month at Plainsight like?

From day one (well, technically day two 😊), I was immediately involved in a client project. It was both exciting and challenging, as I had the opportunity to contribute to the project's delivery while also getting to know my colleagues. This combination of diving straight into meaningful work and connecting with the team made my first month at Plainsight an incredibly rewarding experience.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

Raffaele Esposito. He is credited with creating the Pizza Margherita. It doesn’t get better than meeting the person behind one of my favorite foods!

Anxious to know what Plainsight could mean for you?
