We asked Jana some thoughtful questions.

Jana, how did you discover your passion for data?

From a young age, I’ve always had a strong affinity for math, statistics, recognizing patterns, and solving problems. During my studies, I truly discovered the potential of data science. As I delved into various courses, it became clearer to me how data can reveal patterns, drive decisions, and solve real-world problems. That’s when I knew this was the career I wanted to pursue. What excites me the most is that the field of data analytics is constantly evolving, so there’s always something new to learn, making it dynamic, challenging, and endlessly rewarding.

Why specifically did you choose Plainsight?

As a recent graduate who still has much to learn, I found it important to find a workplace that aligns with my own interests and values. Plainsight’s mission to empower organizations through data-driven insights excited me from the get-go, as it combines my passion for analytics with the company’s vision of making a real impact.

How did you experience your first weeks?

My first weeks at Plainsight went very well. The office atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the ease with which I can approach anyone to ask a question really stood out to me. All my colleagues have put effort into the Plainsight Academy, where they are teaching us how to navigate the platforms we need, as well as the essential do's and don'ts. It’s been a great way to get up to speed and feel supported right from the start.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

If I could have any superpower, it would be a built-in lie detector. Trust is one of the values I hold most dear, and I can’t stand dishonesty. Being able to instantly detect lies would help me navigate relationships and situations, ensuring that I surround myself with people who are genuine. This superpower would also be incredibly useful in making better decisions, both personally and professionally, by cutting through deception and getting straight to the truth. In any scenario, knowing who’s being truthful would give me clarity and save time that would otherwise be wasted on dishonesty.

Anxious to know what Plainsight could mean for you?
